Technical problems was the cause of a helicopter crash near Boipatong in Frikkie Meyerton Boulevard on Sunday evening (5 June) around 18:00.

Police and paramedics were on the scene shortly thereafter. The pilot apparently only sustained minor injuries, but was transported to hospital.
