LGBTQIA+ debacle NWU student partially back on campus

NWU senior student Shaun Christie suspension partially lifted.

Shaun Christie, who was temporarily suspended from the North-West University Potchefstroom campus after disrupting an LGBTQIA+ session during the Registration and Orientation (R&O) program was partially allowed back on campus after a hearing yesterday afternoon.

Ronald Peters, manager of Afriforum Youth emphasizes that Christie did not stand up against the LGBTQIA+ community, but for students who reached out to him saying that they are being forced to sit and listen to beliefs that they do not support.

Peters further stated that Afriforum Youth supports Christie as the organization have seen in the past how students who stood up for what they believe in were silenced.

Christie will be allowed to continue with his academics but will not be allowed to attend any public gatherings while the investigation continues.
