Cachet Park CID focusing on new crime fighting strategies

A reduction of contact crimes is one of the goals of the Cachet Park CID.

The Cachet Park City Improvement District (CID) recently released their monthly stats for the Bult area.

There was a total of 28 reported incidents.

General theft (8), motor vehicle accidents (5), theft out of motor vehicle (5) and common assault (4) were most reported in the Cachet Park CID’s demarcated area.

During a recent AGM held in February, Cachet Park CID manager, Johan Naude, reiterated that a new crime strategy will be implemented in March to increase visibility.

This will be to reduce contact crimes which have been happening more frequently in the past couple of months. Naude added that the Buzzer app (free to download) is a tool that can help in emergency situations.

“We are able to respond with medical and reaction services within minutes to alerts to provide much needed assistance. Also remember to use the TEST function if you would like to test the app, using other alerts for testing purposes may result in responders to rush to your location and wasting valuable resources.”
