New padel court a smashing success at Olën Park
J.B. Marks Olën Park Padel recently opened to much fanfare in the middle of Potchefstroom as a top-class destination for one of the fastest growing sporting activities in South Africa.
Padel, which can be described as a hybrid between tennis and squash, is a high-speed sport that can also be enjoyed as a social activity between family and friends.
Trompie Sport Potchefstroom was responsible for the construction of the brand new padel court, which is already a massive hit amongst eager players of all ages.
The construction took around two weeks to complete.
“We are grateful to Trompie for creating this facility for the community. We encourage everyone to join in,” stated Leopards Rugby Union, CEO, Eugene Fourie.
“These padel courts are for the entire family. The courts will also be used by the Leopards players for rehabilitation and social play during the season. It’s a great social event and we are looking forward to hosting tournaments in future,” added Fourie.
