Protestors closed N12 once again
The N12 are being monitored and is currently open for use.
Protestors closed the N12 between Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp yesterday, 27 April 2024.
The road were closed at around 12:00 in the afternoon yesterday. Fanie Du Toit from the VryheidsFront Plus warned Potchefstroom residents at 12:26 yesterday afternoon to avoid the area and to use alternative routes. He visited the site of the protest and reported at 15:00 yesterday afternoon that both lanes between Potch and Klerksdorp were closed.
According to latest reports, both lanes between Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp are now open for motorists to use.
Public Order Policing (POP), JB Marks Traffic Department, Provincial Traffic and the Eagles are still on scene and monitoring the situation.
