The Ikageng police are investigating a case of murder after a 25-year-old man was stabbed to death with a bottle in Sarafina on Saturday.
They have also opened an inquest docket after a 47-year-old man was found dead in his bathroom in Ext. 7 on Tuesday.
According to the police spokesperson, Sgt. Kelebogile Trom, the 25-year-old man was struck with a bottle twice inside the tavern at about 02:15 last Saturday. He then went outside and, when his friends went to check on him moments later, they found him lying on the ground with stab wounds to his neck. A 23-year-old man was arrested the same morning,’ she said. The inquest case was opened at about 15:45 on Tuesday and involves a 47-year-old man who had been drinking the day before. According to Trom, he had been vomiting during the night and was found dead the following day.
