Don’t miss the Military Skills Competition on Friday

The Defence Reserves, in cooperation with the SA Army Force Preparation and the SA Army Infantry Formation, will once again host the annual Military Skills Competition in Potchefstroom.

The Defence Reserves, in cooperation with the SA Army Force Preparation and the SA Army Infantry Formation, will once again host the annual Military Skills Competition in Potchefstroom.
SAASIC Reserve, a unit under command of the Infantry Formation will have the honour of organising and hosting the 11th national event.
The competition is aimed at the development of military skills and the participants have to endure physical hardship utilising technical skills to compete in a combat run, pistol and rifle shooting and land and water obstacle crossing.
The 200 participants in this year’s event come from Botswana, Germany, Netherlands, Norway and the UK.
Potchefstroomers are invited to witness this event at the Kopanelo obstacle course (entrance opposite MediClinic) from 08:00 on Friday 27 October, when the competition focuses on grenade throwing and land obstacle crossing.
