The JB Marks Municipality has received with sadness the news about the death of former Councillor Dawie Schoeman.
Cllr Schoeman has served the local Council for many years with distinctive dedication and loyalty. His commitment to local municipal affairs dates back as early as early 1987 when he participated as an independent candidate in the then Promosa Management Committee.
Ever since then Schoeman has served Council through its various portfolio committees and in the representation of various parties such as the Potchefstroom Inwoners Vereeniging (PIV), ID and ANC.
The Executive Mayor, Councillor Kgotso Khumalo has on behalf of the municipality expressed heartfelt condolences to his wife, Suzan and daughters, Davina and Dalane.
Council will provide a civic funeral. The funeral will be held on Sunday at the Promosa Community Hall starting at 9:00.
