Witrand Hospital continues to make history by receiving awards from independent bodies.

According to Koketso Diloane, the Witrand hospital spokesperson, Witrand has scooped the Titanium Award for health facilities within the public sector for the third time in five years.

Since the inception of the awards in 2014, the hospital won it in 2015, 2017 and 2018 and, in so doing, has demonstrated its dominance as a public health facility.

The presentation was made at the annual Titanium Awards ceremony of the BHF (Board of Health Care Funders of Southern Africa) Conference at Sun City on Monday, 18 June.

‘The awards seek to celebrate individuals and businesses that have delivered superior services to their members and clients in the public and private sectors, and facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice; promote partnerships between the public and private sectors, and provide a platform for collaboration across the region,’ Diloane said.

He added that the hospital has been at the forefront of ensuring that specialised healthcare services are advanced to another level, especially in the government setting.

The ecstatic CEO of Witrand Hospital Ms Naledi Mocwaledi-Senyane said, ‘these are the results of a solid foundation of rendering superior specialised healthcare services, where individual contributions make Witrand a force to be reckoned with.’

‘The continuous success is the result of hard work by all the hospital employees. Without each and everyone’s individual contribution, we would not be where we are. Irrespective of the challenges within the broader healthcare, we still persevere. Being employed at Witrand is not just a job opportunity, it is a calling,’ she said.

The North West health MEC Dr Magome Masike congratulated the hospital on being ‘a cut above the rest’. ‘We are building on this success to ensure all our health facilities reach the highest level of healthcare service delivery for our people,’ he said.
