
The Ikageng police are investigating a rape case after a 13-year-old boy was allegedly raped in the Promosa cemetery toilets on 22 December.
Sgt Kelebogile Trom, the police spokesperson, says the boy was on his way home at 21:00 on 22 December. Just after he had passed a car wash, an unknown man confronted him and accused the child of swearing at him.
‘Before he could protest, the man threw him to the ground and kicked him. He was bleeding and still on the ground when two men picked him up and took him to the toilets at Promosa cemetery. They left him there with another man who threatened him with a knife. The suspect tied his hands behind his back and proceeded to rape him. None of the suspects has been arrested yet.
