Ikageng teacher due in court for alleged rape of domestic worker

The Ikageng police are investigating a rape case after a 58-year-old teacher allegedly raped his 41-year-old domestic worker on 18 December.

The 58-year-old Ikageng teacher is expected to appear in the Potchefstroom magistrates’ court next Tuesday, 15 January for allegedly raping his 41-year-old domestic worker on 18 December.

According to Col Adéle Myburgh, the NW police spokesperson, the victim alleges that she went to work at about 07:45 on 18 December.

‘While she was cleaning her employer’s bedroom, he entered the room and  allegedly raped her. The suspect first appeared in court on 20 December and is due back next Tuesday, 15 January,’ said Myburgh.
