Suspect arrested for murder

Recently, the Ikageng Police officials responded to information received about a man who was being stabbed in Mohadin. According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, Ikageng Police spokesperson, upon arrival, the police found a man lying on the ground, with a knife stuck in his head. The deceased was identified as a Modise Tsatsi (20).

According to information received, the officials were informed that Modise and a friend were walking in an open field near the Mohadin Clinic, from Greenfield to Sonderwater. “They were then approached by four men who are known to them,” said Sgt Trom. She further explains that one of them took out a knife and started stabbing Modise.

In another murder case. On Thursday (30 January) morning around 08:55, the police immediately responded to a complaint of murder that occurred in Makam Street. According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, when the Police arrived at the scene, they found a man on the scene and he showed the officials were the deceased was lying. “They found the deceased lying on the edge of the bed with his legs hanging on the ground,
He had a small wound on the right side of his ribs and on his right hand,” said Sgt Trom.

The deceased was identified as Kgotatso Theo Mtjane (27).

According to Sgt Trom, the police were informed by Kgotatso’s friends that they were on their way to buy some cigarettes when they were approached by two guys, and one of them allegedly strangled Kgotatso.

Sgt Trom confirms that the Police are investigating two separate cases of murder.
