
The Police, Designated Liquor Officers (DLO) recently conducted an inspection at various liquor outlets.
During the inspection, a tavern owner was issued a fine for not adhering to the regulations according to the liquor licence laws, when the tavern was operation before 10 am last Sunday (8 March).
According to Sgt Kelebogile Trom, police spokesperson all the liquor that was sold without a liquor license was confiscated and will be destroyed.
“All unlicensed liquor places that are visited, and liquor is found will be confiscated. And, a case docket will be opened,” she said.
