Coronavirus cases dramatically increase : Northwest records cases

The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus has dramatically increased to 402 on Monday (23 March). 

The number of confirmed cases of Coronavirus has dramatically increased to 402 on Monday (23 March).

According to a statement by the minister of health, Zwelini Mkhize, this is an increase of 128 since the last announcement. The Northwest and Northern Cape have also recorded its first cases. There are four confirmed cases in the Northwest and two in the Northern Cape.

So far there is no indication of any confirmed cases in Potchefstroom.

Gauteng is still the hardest by the pandemic, with 207 confirmed cases in the province.

The president is expected to address the nation at 18:00 tonight.
