Potch school closed due to COVID-19 infection
According to the NW Department of Education, the school will not be opened until all necessary investigations have been concluded.

The North West Department of Education released a statement earlier today (3 June) confirming a COVID-19 case at a North West school.
The Department declined to divulge information regarding the specific school.
The Herald could independently confirm that the COVID-19 case is of an employee at Die Wilge High School.
According to reports the employee of the school was tested positive on Tuesday, 2 June, and subjected to 14 days of self-quarantine. This after a doctor advised the employee to take a test after showing symptoms of the virus.
It is also yet unconfirmed if there are other employees who have tested positive.
“As the department, we are very much shocked to learn about this news. We are working with the Department of Health who has advised us to close the school with immediate effect. We will be relying on their expert advice throughout this period”, said North West Education MEC, Mmaphefo Matsemela in the statement.
