Eskom announced today (2 September) that stage 4 load shedding will be implemented from 15:00 this afternoon until 22:00 this evening.

In a tweet, Eskom states this is due to abnormally high demand due to the cold weather.

Load shedding will be implemented over the weekend. For today (2 September), Potchefstroom is still safe.

If stage 4 persists the power in Potch will be off as follows.

3 September: 00:00 – 04:30 (which is unlikely as load shedding is usually suspended in the evenings)

16:00 – 20:30

4 September : 08:00 – 12:30

5 September: 00:00 – 04:30 (which is unlikely as load shedding is usually suspended in the evenings)

16:00 – 20:30

6 September: 08:00 – 12:30
