Active Covid-19 cases in J.B. Marks beyond 1000 mark

The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the J.B. Marks municipality has increased to 1012 during a 24 hour period. 

The number of active cases of Covid-19 in the J.B. Marks municipality has increased to 1012 during a 24 hour period.

This is an increase of 43 cases since the last statistics were released by the department. According to the statistics released today (1 July) by the department, the number of people in the municipality who have passed away due to Covid-19 complications has increased to 252.

“MEC of health Madoda Sambatha conveys sincere condolences to the loved ones of the departed and thanks health care workers who treated the deceased,” reads the statement by the department.

148 920 people have so far been vaccinated in the North West.

The public are urged to wear their masks, wash their hands regularly and avoid crowded spaces.
