Power outage on Sunday, 5 September

Eskom intends to do urgent maintenance at two of its substations; i.e. Alpha and Ikageng.

According to Willie Maphosa, municipal spokesperson, there will be a power outage on Sunday, September 5, 2021 between 08h00 and 13h00.

Areas that will be affected by the temporary blackout are Ikageng and the extension areas, Potch Industria, Potch Suidorp including Potchefstroom Hospital.

The municipality warns residents to treat all installations as live as power may be restored before the end of the stated time frame.
