Power failure in Ikageng: Technicians attending to the matter

According to the municipality this is due to a failure of electrical protection schemes at the Ikageng Main Substation.  It will take at most 2 hours to correct.

The J.B. Marks Municipality released a notice this morning (Saturday, 25 September) regarding a power failure in Ikageng Extensions.

According to the municipality this is due to a failure of electrical protection schemes at the Ikageng Main Substation.

“When our team pick up a fault on the Municipal side it trips on the side of Eskom and is not being picked up by our protection schemes.

There is need for urgent correction. It will take at most 2 hours to correct. “In the meantime power supply to Ikageng Extensions will unfortunately be affected. The Municipality deeply regrets the inconvenience is attending to the matter,” stated the release.
