Wilson Cai, a grade 10 learner from Ferdinand Postma High School, did exceptionally well at this year’s MobiTutor national mathematics competition.

Wilson obtained a national second place, making him the second most gifted grade 10 learner in this genre of mathematics in South Africa.

Kenna Geleta, a grade 11 learner, is also one of the top-10 programmers in this year’s National Programming Olympiad.

The South African Computer Olympiad (SACO) is an initiative of the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA). With over 1,200 learners competing and showcasing their talents, Kenna rose to the challenge by already taking the first steps towards an exciting career in STEM and ICT.
