Performing artists of Potch shine at championships

The South African Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) was presented in Rustenburg in October this year. Students from various modeling and dance schools in Potchefstroom excelled in this competition.

The South African Championships of Performing Arts (SACOPA) was presented in Rustenburg in October this year. Students from various modeling and dance schools in Potchefstroom excelled in this competition.

Models from JannyDjan Modeling School competed as part of the North West team. Six of their models made the South African team, which will compete in the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles next year. The models won 11 medals, overall. Students who did exceptionally well are Corniël Calitz, Marinet Potgieter, Gracious Mavunga, Amoré Britz, Bianca Joubert, and Tshwaraganang Phihlela.

Mekayla-Grace Groenewald (12), a learner of All-Stars Modeling School and Aldante Dance Studio, won 17 medals altogether and the Overall Trophy Award for dancing. She will also represent South Africa overseas next year.
