Water leaking in Dassierand

For a little over two weeks, there has been a slow water leak at the construction site on the corner of Hennie Swanepoel Street in Dassierand.

According to the site manager, James Molepo, they have reported the issue to the municipality, but it has only promised to come and evaluate the situation.

“The leak started slowly, but it seems to be getting worse by the day,” Molepo said. “We suspect the leakage is caused by using poor materials, but we are not sure.”

“Hopefully, the issue will be resolved by the end of the week,” he added.

The Herald asked the municipality for comment but had received no feedback by the time of going to print.
