Residents should expect interrupted waste collection

Residents are notified of a planned industrial action scheduled to take place today, 27 October 2022 organized by the Labour  Movement; IMATU and SAMWU. The planned action will disrupt Waste Removal Services in the following areas: Suid Dorp; Potchefstroom Central; CBD; Sarafina; Ext 3; Ext 6; Ext 7; Military Village; Witrand and Vuselela. 

According to Jeanette Tshite, Acting municipal spokesperson, a catch-up plan has been worked out to attend to all affected areas that were skipped over the coming weekend. “More information thereof will be communicated before the end of business today,  27 October 2022. As the JB Marks Local Municipality, we kindly request residents not to move wheelie bins and waste plastic bags out of their properties this morning,” she said.
