Police clamp down on alleged drug dealers in Ikageng
Police arrested four suspects in Zakhele, Ikageng, for alleged drug dealing after a search warrant was executed at an identified location on Friday, 15 September.

Police arrested four suspects in Zakhele, Ikageng, for alleged drug dealing after a search warrant was executed at an identified location on Friday, 15 September.
“During the search, a male was spotted attempting to flush 12 mandrax tablets down the drain. A further search in the tuckshop led to the discovery of 14 bags of dagga (60 litres), and 116 mandrax tablets, all with an estimated street value of R17,300,” stated NW police spokesperson Lt Col Amanda Funani.
Consequently, all four suspects, aged between 19 and 38, were arrested and appeared in the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 18 September, for drug dealing. Yandisa Dobe (19), Khaya Mongezi Logumo (28), and Andile Mxenge (38) received bail of R1 000, while Amanda Magcakini (32) received bail of R2 000.
They are scheduled to appear in the Potchefstroom Magistrate’s Court again on 3 November 2023.
