Potchefstroom Central School’s u.13A and u.13B hockey boys showed their mettle and winning mentality on Saturday, 16 September 2023 when they won both North West titles.
The u.13A team beat Laerskool Mooirivier 5-2 in a pulsating final, whilst the u.13B team beat Potchefstroom Primary School by 3-1 in an 8 second shootout. This after the match was drawn 2-2 in regulation time. PCS goalkeeper & captain of the u.13B team Lesego Tsukulu ensured their win with some brilliant saves.
The u.13A team played 21 games in the season, winning 18, drawing 2 and losing only one match. The team scored an incredible 60 goals and only conceded 6.
The u.13B team played 14 matches, winning 10, drawing three and losing one. This team scored 35 goals and conceded 3.
