The North West Cricket board has announced its new Chief Executive Officer after a lengthy process as the new season is looking to go into full swing.
Tsholofelo Thulare is stepping in to the hot seat and will be the third person occupying the North West Cricket CEO’s chair this year. Earlier this year, the former CEO, Ismail Minty, was suspended and subsequently, Tommy Phiri stepped in as acting CEO from April to the end of September.
According to North West Cricket, Thulare is a strategic public sector leader with a Master of Commerce in Development Finance coupled with more than 15 years of experience spanning development finance, governance, programme management, and stakeholder engagement across national government, development finance institutions, and the NGO sector.

“Mr. Thulare’s appointment comes at an exciting time for North West Cricket, with the organisation focused on building a progressive, sustainable and ambitious future for the game, creating meaningful opportunities for players, coaches, officials, clubs, schools and communities.
The ambition is to grow the game from the grassroots and strengthen the structures that support cricket, create greater opportunities for talent, deepen engagement with communities, stakeholders and strategic partners to ensure that North West Cricket remains a province where cricket can thrive,” stated North West Cricket in a press release.
