he prestigious u.19 Khaya Majola Cricket Week will once again be one of the showcase tournaments held this year as some of the country’s finest young cricketing talent will battle it out in Cape Town from 16-20 December.
North West under the tutelage of head coach, Jimmy Kgamadi, North West will for once want to deliver the results on the pitch. Previously there has been standout players in past teams such as Ruan Haasbroek and Louis van Schalkwyk impressing with top individual performances.
This year the players to look out for in the North West team is the young all-rounder, Phemelo Sepati from THS Potchefstroom, the Jansen brothers from Gimmies as well as Van Zyl Smit from Volkies. Rustenburg’s talented spinner Odirile Modimokoane, and paceman, Stiaan Swanepoel will also be invaluable to the team’s cause this year.
