The North West Dragons made a solid start to the CSA 4-day competition against the Knights in Bloemfontein on Thursday, 10 November, despite rain having the final say.

Only one session of play was possible during the day as the Dragons were put in to bat. They reached 94 for 1 after 28 overs thanks to a solid 78* (102) from Grant Mokoena who played beautifully.

Mokoena was brought in to the side to add value especially in the longer format and he did just that in a good partnership with Shaylen Pillay for scored a patient 9*(65).

Rain is expected for today (Friday, 11 November) as well.
