Dragons thrash Knights to record second win in a row

A superb bowling performance from the North West Dragons secured an impressive 109 run bonus point victory against the Knights in the CSA One Day Challenge match at the JB Marks Oval on Sunday, 4 December.

The Knights for bowled out for only 159, with Delano Potgieter (4/27) and Eldred Hawken (3/15) putting in superb performances with the ball.

The Knights struggled against disciplined bowling as they could not reach the Dragons score of 268 all out.

The Dragons compiled 268 earlier on when they won the toss and decided to bat first on a sweltering day.

Heino Kuhn played a superb innings of 96 (90) which included 6 fours and 1 six. Lesego Senokwane also hit a 76 (91) as he scored his second successive half-century in this competition.

Kuhn was unlucky to miss out on a well-deserved century as he showed all his experience in a vital knock that formed the backbone of the Dragons total.

Migael Pretorius (4/36) was the top bowler for the Knights.

The Dragons are now unbeaten after two matches and has made the perfect start to this vital tournament that will play a key role in their survival in division 1.
