This after the team won the Rugby World Cup in Japan, losing only one game in the tournament. They beat England 32–12 in the final, completely outclassing their opponents in what many expected to be a much closer encounter.
South African Paralympian swimmer, Natalie du Toit was also nominated for the sporting moment from 2000 to 2020 but missed out on the award to former Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar and his 2011 World Cup-winning team.
