1. Lira Making Her Story Tour
The Hamba and Feel Good songstress Lira, will be at Montecasino for the Making Her Story tour on 3 October. Lira is a multi-platinum award-winning singer/songwriter and the first African to release a full HD DVD in Blu-Ray and the highest selling vocalist in South Africa. Join her as she will be performing her best to her loyal fans.

2. Vodacom in the City
The City of Gold has no time to sleep. Vodacom and Seed Experiences are bringing Vodacom in the City back to Johannesburg on 3 October. This event will deliver another incredible indie and electro music festival at Mary Fitzgerald Square in Newtown. The most anticipated music festival has fans raving about it on social network. Join music lovers for an unforgettable music experience, starting at 6pm.
3. Big House Craft Beer Festival 2014.
Are you a beer lover? Be in the midst of fantastic people on 4 October at the Jan Smuts House Museum for the Big House Beer Festival. There will be no less than 39 different craft beers for your indulgence. Mango Groove will also be entertaining you at the festival. Line-up: Mango Groove.

4. Dreaming of the beats
Dreaming of the Beats breaks out with the freshest beats that will be brought to you by a team of DJs at the Secret Roof Top Location in Braamfontein on 4 October . The Beats will be provided by an array of your preferred local talent. Few of SA’s most impressive bands will be performing from midday and later joined by the Kings of Deck. Line up: Cid Surco, Warren Bokwe, Justin Miller, Dean Fuel, David Ireton, LilPhil and others. Tickets are available online from Nutickets for R120.
5. Yho Yho Yho
Gather yourselves with friends and family at Mamma’s Shebeen at Greenside on 5 October for a delicious meal, refreshing drinks and live music.
Line-up: Pacawa, Mari On Funk, Quinton Tarr, Dream Horse, The Bad Acoustics, Andy Fisher and others.

6. The Science Fiction Festival.
Sci-Bono Discovery Centre is hosting a holiday programme called The Science Fiction Festival from 4 until 12 October.
Sci-Bono Discovery Centre will explore the wonderful world of science during a programme that will leave all visitors inspired, informed and entertained. Kids will get to make their own alien slime while learning about polymers.
