Camp out at Cooper College

NORTH RIDING – The children and parents of Cooper College camped out at the school.

Cooper College had its first family campout which was based on the two school fields on 29 November.

Over 130 tents dotted the fields with a lovely view of the Magaliesberg in the background.

Families turned out in their numbers despite the threat of rain and in the end it turned out to be a perfect summer’s day.

The children had lots of fun playing in the water slides and on the jumping castle.

There was a face painter and massages for moms, while dads got the braais on the go.

Everyone was in good spirits by the time the drumming circles started.

Drum Connection managed mixed sessions of adults and children with a fun story as the sun set and the bonfire was lit.

The evening ended perfectly with a marshmallow bonfire and even a little guitar music in the background.

Genevieve van der Vyder comments, ”The event was an absolute success and everyone said they would definitely be back again next year!”
