Bank of the Future launches

COSMO CITY – Nedbank brings ‘Branch of the Future’ to Cosmo City.

Nedbank launches the Branch of the Future on 29 November.

According to the bank’s media statement, the launch of the Nedbank Cosmo Mall is in keeping with the bank’s centred approach “to continue delivering a choice of distinctive experiences and channels of choice, enabled through state-of-the-art technology.”

Dave Schwegmann, Nedbank’s managing executive branch network said, “We are delighted to bring the Branch of the Future model to Cosmo City, which has transformed from a once vacant piece of land into a socio-economically viable community. We believe our presence will go a long way in enabling greater financial inclusion while contributing toward economic growth and social development in Cosmo City and other communities in Gauteng.”

Nedbank plans to extend its Branch of the Future roll-out to over 70 per cent of its branch network in the next five years.

This will enable almost 80 per cent of the bankable population to access banking within a 15km radius of their community.

Nedbank conducted a series of consumer education and sustainability workshops in Cosmo City leading up to the launch.

This was done in order to share financial fitness principles with the community and create awareness on preserving the environment.

The bank also donated a vegetable tunnel garden to the Zamula Community Network and R3 000 each to the reigning Mr and Miss Cosmo City.
