Cooper College ran different competitions in conjunction with Cotlands in November.
Grades 0 to 4 were asked to submit an artwork and Grades 5 and 6 had to write an essay.
The theme was Why you should support a charity like Cotlands.

Entrants were asked to donate R10 to Cotlands in lieu of participating in the competition.
The winning entries were announced on 24 November and the prizes were handed over to pupils by Penny Bryce of Cotlands.

The funds raised were handed over to Cotlands at the same event, as well as numerous tins which the students had filled with their pocket money and small change.
The following children received prizes:
- Grade 0: Raylin Abrahams; class teacher: Miss Packett
- Grade 1: Anrique De Beer; class teacher: Miss Mansfield
- Grade 2: Kwame Ngwenya; class teacher: Mrs Van Reenen
- Grade 3: Jaidan Blackburn; class teacher: Mrs Liebenberg
- Grade 4: Shehrazad Moodley; class teacher: Miss Wentzel
- Grade 5: Kayla Baptist;a class teacher: Mrs Sheng
- Grade 6: Khumo Molusi; class teacher: Mrs Naicker
Also receiving accolades for their outstanding artworks, which were handed over to Cotlands to put up in their Early Learning Centres,
were Jordan Langenhoven and Coco Bergmann.
A special mention goes to Kian Mayhew for helping his class to fill numerous Cotlands’ tins.
