Elderly robbed with an axe
RAND PARK RIDGE – Cops still hoping for information on axe wielding robbery of an elderly couple.
Police have asked for help in finding three suspects who robbed an elderly couple with an axe recently.
The elderly couple was robbed at their residence in Randpark Ridge at 7.10am on 26 April, said Honeydew Police spokesperson Warrant Officer Karen Jacobs. She explained that during the morning three unidentified males entered the residence through the back kitchen door. One of the robbers threatened the couple with an axe and then proceeded to tie them up.
The house was completely ransacked. “The three suspects escaped the premises on foot, along with their loot,” WO Jacobs said.
Investigations are underway and no arrests have been made yet. Jacobs continued, “Anyone with information is kindly requested to contact the investigating officer: Constable Lawrence Muthelo on 076 649 5169.”
