15 injured in taxi collision

COSMO CITY – Taxi and delivery vehicle collide and leave 15 injured.

Fifteen people were injured last night (16 June) when a taxi collided with a transport vehicle at the Malibongwe and Tenessey Road intersection in Cosmo City.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, their paramedics, along with other services, arrived at the scene and found both vehicles stationed in the middle of the intersection.

One of the vehicles was found lying on its side.

On assessment, paramedics found that 15 patients from both vehicles suffered injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

“Fortunately no one had sustained any serious injuries,” said Meiring.

Paramedics treated the patients and thereafter transported them to various hospitals for further observations.

The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.
