A time capsule was buried at Sharonlea Primary School in the spirit of Mandela Day.
Grade 7 head, Samantha Botes explained, “We decided to do something special for Mandela month this year by writing down our hopes and dreams for the future.”
Each Grade 7 pupil wrote down their dreams for the future and signed that they will strive to create a better South Africa. Head girl, Siphesihle Skosana, gave a speech in which she said, “We bury this time capsule in the hope that we will be smarter, braver and kinder then we are today.”
The time capsule will be opened 10 years from now.
