Cresta Shopping Centre honours Windsor women during celebration
Local organisations and businesses partnered to inspire, empower and connect women through wellness and fashion.
Cresta Shopping Centre partnered with Windsor Community Support Services (WCSS) to host a women’s month celebration aimed at inspiring, empowering and connecting local women.
The programme celebrated women’s achievements, encouraged personal well-being and highlighted community support. WCSS representative Mathabo Bekimbia-Tchoffo explained that the inspiration behind the event was to honour the women of Windsor who carry their households, workplaces and community forward every day, often without recognition.

“We wanted to create a space where women could pause, be celebrated, and connect through open conversation on empowerment, health, wellness and beauty,” she said.
Bekimbia-Tchoffo said the event was an outstanding success with a wonderful turnout. “Women, young and old, came out in numbers to celebrate one another in a spirit of unity and warmth,” she said.
“The energy in the room reflected exactly what we hoped for: a genuine sense of sisterhood and community pride.”

The programme featured speakers and activities, including a crafting icebreaker, an inspirational address by Zandi Modise, fashion presented by Miladys Cresta, and a beauty session with MAC Cresta. Guests were treated to a fashion show showcasing designs by ExtraMile Designs, while wellness took centre stage as Sister Thembi Ngubeni, from Windsor East Clinic, shared insights on health and well-being.
Cresta Shopping Centre marketing manager Lungile Khumalo thanked MAC Cresta, The Perfume Gallery, Faithful to Nature and Miladys for contributing products for the guests.
“Their generosity added a thoughtful and memorable touch to the celebration and demonstrated the positive impact that collaboration between a shopping centre, its tenants and the wider community can have,” she said. “We are incredibly proud to have been part of a celebration that placed women, their stories and their well-being at the heart of the day.”
