Brushworks of creativity in Kelland
KELLAND – Artists will let their work speak for itself during a two-week long exhibition.
Three local artists plan to showcase their one-of-a-kind works of art at a uniquely set art gallery.
Elsa Stadler, Clare Hearne and Trudi Newton will exhibit their paintings at the Co2 Lab fine art gallery found at REEA Foundation. The foundation is described as a non-profit organisation that cares for adults living with epilepsy and mild mental disorders who cannot be accommodated in a normal family environment.

This exhibition will run for two weeks from 31 August. All three painters are excited to have their art exhibited there as some of the proceeds from the exhibit will go towards the foundation.
“It is also a very beautiful venue that was only opened at the beginning of the year,” explained Stadler.

When asked why they chose art as a form of expression they shared the sentiment that it was purely for the love of it.
“I have been doing art for many years as I was an art teacher,” said Hearne. The Kelland resident explained that she is not new to exhibiting her works as she had exhibited a lot of her work through the years.

Newton shared that she had previously worked in the fashion industry and after she left, she was encouraged to consider painting as she had a knack for putting colours together perfectly.
“Once you start painting it gets into your blood, because it is so peaceful and if anything is on your mind you just sit in front of that easel and you forget what is going on around you.”

To create, Stadler said anything can be your inspiration and to keep at is because of the pure love of it. The trained watercolourist said her work can be abstract at times. At the exhibition, several pieces of each one’s work will be displayed and they invite everyone to pop by and have a gander.
