Panorama Ladies FC and Cosmo Titans Ladies played out a 1–1 draw in a match that swung from frustration to fightback for both sides.

Panorama broke the deadlock in the second half through Onthatile Moloi, but Cosmo Titans Ladies hit back soon after when Uafha Mudau found the net to level the score at Cosmo City.

Panorama player Imaan Rigney said the team had gone into the match wanting all three points, but allowed a good position to slip through a lack of composure. “My game perspective, I feel like we could have done much better,” said Rigney. “We came in with the mentality of, we want to win. But unfortunately, there were a few mistakes and we doubted it throughout.”

She added that the team lifted their performance after the break, saying the second half was much better and they could learn from those mistakes and come back stronger for the next match.

For Cosmo Titans Ladies coach Collen Mosese, the result was hard to take, given how much of the game his side controlled. “I can say I am very disappointed because we were controlling the game and we missed a lot of chances,” said Mosese, “but at the end of the day, we have to accept that it’s part of the game. We win as a team, we lose as a team, but we were supposed to win the game because it was easy for us. We created a lot of chances but we missed them.”

Mosese said his message to the players during the game was simple: relax and let the football do the talking. “During coaching, I told them to relax,” he said. “Win the game, play their normal football without any pressure, because the more you play under pressure, the more it’s going to do a lot of mistakes. So, I told them just to relax and then play their normal game. So, that is why they started to change and play very well.”

Both sides will look to build on their second-half improvement when they return to action in their next fixtures.
