The City of Johannesburg’s Metrobus has been affected by the current bus strike by employees affiliated with the Democratic Municipal and Allied Workers Union of South Africa (Demawusa) on 6 June.
The transport entity warned commuters to be vigilant when using its services, revealing photos of busses damaged, likely because of the strike.
Negotiations continue with management.

The entity said management is busy negotiating a settlement with the Demawusa.
Meetings continued on the morning of 6 June.
“Unfortunately our commuters will continue to experience service disruptions in various areas across the city,” it said.
Most of Metrobus’ employees are, not, however, affiliated with Demawusa, and many busses are still operational.
