Shoppers show their support

CRESTA – Cresta Shopping Centre gives back with their initiative for the youngsters.

Cresta Shopping Centre gave back to the community after partnering with five local children’s homes and charities.

A giant festive tree was decorated with the names of 329 youngsters living in the homes’ care. Shoppers were then able to purchase essential items from a list provided and selected who they would like to donate their gift to.

All 329 youngsters recently received their gifts in a handover ceremony that proved an emotional experience for all involved.

Virginia Bester, general manager of Cresta Shopping Centre said, “We are again overwhelmed by the huge outpouring of generosity for our Cresta community initiative from our shoppers. Supporting our local community is of paramount importance to us as a centre and seeing the children so excited when opening their gifts was an incredible and humble experience.”
