Randburg SPCA fun day was a success

NORTH RIDING – Randburg SPCA hosts family fun day, to the delight of community members.

The Randburg SPCA recently hosted community members at the non-profit organisation’s headquarters for a family fun day.

Friends of the SPCA were welcomed to the organisation for a family day with something for everyone. The event boasted inflatables, a colour fun run, various stalls and an opportunity for attendees to lay out on a picnic blanket and soak up the sun.

The SPCA opened their doors for the family festivities at 10am until 3pm the same day. The weather smiled on attendees with weather perfect for a picnic. People of all ages were charged R10 entry to raise money for the organisation. The safe haven for furry friends based in North Riding has expressed in the past that the resource they need the most at any given time is money.

Cynthia Swanepoel of the Randburg SPCA expressed joy at the success of the day, and detailed that the organisation had rehomed a few of their furry friends during the morning. Attendees were equally pleased with the family day, as they enjoyed the ambience on their picnic blankets.

The SPCA has planned to host more family events of this nature in the future. The events serve to encourage community members to visit the SPCA, see the work one by the organisation and support their continued efforts. If you were unlucky and missed this round, keep your eyes glued to the Randburg Sun as well as our social media pages for the announcement of the next one.
