No person will be turned away when needing to report a crime

HONEYDEW – No person will be turned away in a time of need, says Honeydew station commander.

Station Commander of the Honeydew Police Station Brigadier Anesh Maharaj would like to inform the public that no person would be turned away in a time of need.

“No members of the community are to be turned away or referred to another police station when needing to report a crime or open a docket,” said Maharaj.

He added that when an accident needed to be reported, the case needed to be reported within 24 hours after the accident took place.
“We need more people to report crimes when they occur, and in cases where they feel unsafe when reporting a crime, we will ensure that their anonymity will be protected.”

Details: Honeydew Police Station 011 801 8400, Crime Stop 08600 10111.
