A beautiful day of serving humanity at Footprints Special Needs School

KW Explore agents spend their day giving back to the children of Malanshof’s Footprints Special Needs School.

Every year on May 12th, real estate company Keller Williams Explore hold their annual worldwide Red Day (Renew, Energize, Donate), which affords the company the opportunity to assist the community.

The day began with a warm welcome from the staff and children at Footprints Special Needs School, followed by the company’s agents entertaining the children as they played on the jungle gym with them and read books to them.

“This year for our special Red Day, we chose Footprints. It’s a school that has left a mark on us from the first time we interacted with them. The children here, the teachers, the entire programme that they’re running is really inspiring. So, we thought that this is a perfect opportunity for us to gather our forces to Footprints and to just give back and to give a little bit of sunshine and happiness to the children’s lives,” said Jeff Grundlingh, CEO of Keller Williams Explore Fourways.

The principal of the school Sharon Rowe shared how much she valued the interaction of the company’s agents and how impactful it was for the children to witness this life skill.

“They [children] get to see how people give back because it’s important for our children to also give back to society. Just because they’re special needs doesn’t mean that they should get everything and they don’t give back. So here they are watching people give to them, to beautify their school and interact with them and know that this is what people do,” said Rowe.

Numerous sponsors influenced the outcome of the day. “We do our best to help the community,” said Nathan Hill, manager of Universal paints in Linden.

Grundlingh concluded that the day had been beautiful and that they could not wait to see the difference that they would make in the future with Footprints.
