No electricity as Cosmo Teen Titans Ladies take victory
Cosmo Teen Titans Ladies ran to an emphatic win after a tough game against the Electrical Ladies.
Cosmo Teen Titans (CTT) Ladies has once again risen to the top after beating Electrical Ladies in one of their regional matches at the Cosmo City Multipurpose Centre grounds on August 16.
After a rough practice during the week, CTT Ladies promised themselves not to walk out of those grounds without earning themselves a proper win, and, indeed, they did not disappoint as they walked away with a clear score of 3–0.

CTT ladies gained momentum from the beginning of the game, physically and mentally prepared. Electrical Ladies, however, did not make it any easy on them, making sure to give them a tough game, no matter what. Unfortunately, luck was not on Electrical Ladies’ side, as it decided to favour CTT right winger Uafha Mudau, scoring the first goal of the match in a way that paved the way to score more goals.
Despite CTT dominating over them, Electrical ladies’ performance did not weigh down, determined to equalise and emerge winners. CTT, however, prevented every attempt they made, ensuring not to give them the opportunity to equalise. Their attempts worked out well, as Electrical Ladies failed to aim for the net.

Tshepiso Morerwa, CTT left winger, secured their second goal of the day, right before the referee blew the whistle indicating the end of the half. This demotivated Electrical Ladies even more, realising they only had 40 minutes left to try and change their strategy, as the one they were using was not working for them, seeing that the score was already 2–0 within the first half of the game.

Coming back into the second half, CTT was ready to seal the deal. Striker Reneilwe Bapelaas belted the ball into the back of the net for the team’s third goal, putting the game completely out of Electrical Ladies’ reach and ensuring their target, set out by their coach, was met.
As for Electrical Ladies, while they managed to defend more goals aimed for their net, keeping the score 3–0, it was, ultimately, too late for them to equalise, as the referee looked down at his watch, and blew the final whistle of the game.
Collen Mosese, head coach for Cosmo Teen Titans regional division, said: “The game was difficult for both teams. We were fighting for three points, and managed to secure them. During the week we had a game plan, and a strategy for winning the game. Before the game, I told the players to relax and focus, because playing under pressure kills focus. I am glad that all the players followed instructions, and won the game. I am so proud of the team. They have played very well. I also appreciate our captain, Keletso Nemukula. She always motivates and encourages the players.”
