A new MSS was installed by the entity, but, on the night of August 14, it was vandalised before it could be energised, causing further delays in restoring power supply to the affected area.

City Power spokesperson Isaac Mangena explained that the entity condemns this act, which comes after days of hard work by the team, who worked around the clock to source the unit to restore power. “Our teams worked around the clock, sourcing the necessary material, carrying out repairs to the vandalised unit, and restoring supply.”
