Con Brio Cares brings community together to combat hunger
Over 70 vulnerable community members received nourishment and dignity at a successful feeding project hosted by Con Brio Cares and Doorway to Dignity in Randburg.
The Ferndale Bible Church in Randburg became a hub of compassion and connection as Con Brio Cares partnered with Doorway to Dignity to host a successful feeding project. The event provided much-needed nourishment and a sense of dignity to over 70 vulnerable individuals in the community, reminding everyone of the power of kindness and collective action.
The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with volunteers working tirelessly to serve a hearty lentil and vegetable rice dish, accompanied by fresh bread. For many of the attendees this meal was more than just food; it was a moment of relief and a reminder that they are not alone in their struggles.
“We aim to do more than just provide a meal. We want to create a space where everyone feels respected, cared for, and seen,” shared a representative from Con Brio Cares.

The success of the event was made possible through the collaboration of volunteers, donors, and the organisations involved. Many individuals gave their time to prepare and serve the food, while others donated bread, vegetables, and lentils to make the meal possible.
The feeding project is part of a broader initiative to address food insecurity and support vulnerable populations. Con Brio Cares remains committed to providing not only food but also hope and dignity to those in need.
