Randburg Harriers Running Club to dedicate the Colleen McNally Easter 100km event to the members they lost in 2024
Randburg Harriers public relations officer and media liaison Buwi Moeketsi reflected on the club’s successful night race.

“Our annual ‘street date’ is an event we hold dear to our hearts. It’s a fun way to be inclusive to any person who dreams of lacing up whether for a walk or a run. The 2025 edition was no different,” she said.
“Our main aim was to create a memorable night, and we are very proud of the outcome. A lot of hard work was put into preparing for the day.”
The race committee spent countless hours ensuring that they delivered a run that was both safe and fun. The famous Randburg Harriers vibe had to be taken into account, and it was delivered.

“This run means a lot to the club. It’s one of the few runs that take place at night and focus on friends and family. We promote romance and friendship, along with the fitness aspect. It’s a fun run, allowing a wider range of participants.”
The running club will host the Colleen McNally Easter 100km event, an annual series of three runs that take place over the Easter weekend. This year, runs will be dedicated to members who, sadly, passed away last year. The runs start from Easter Friday and end on Sunday, with different distances being run on each day.
Moeketsi added the weekend of running would be the perfect training for anyone who aspired to be on the start line at the Comrades Marathon.
