Young Randburg boxer wins her second fight with a stoppage
Alan Toweel Boxing Gym's female fighter Tyla Promnick continues to make a mark on the female boxing world by winning her second bout.
Coming out of the highly rated Alan Toweel Boxing Gym in Randburg, female fighter Tyla Promnick (19) has done it again at the highest level with a third-round stoppage win over Emma Mahono.
This was Promnick’s second professional fight, and she continues to be a force to be reckon with, taking her numbers to 2–0. The fight took place at Emperors Palace under the Golden Gloves banner. Her dedication, consistency, and work ethic are paying off.

She explained that they went into the fight more focused and locked in than ever before. “Strategically, we couldn’t have planned it better. We planned on keeping the pressure on her from round one, using my fitness to my advantage, and to keeping her going back, which I did well. I take every fight as it comes, and take the win with humility and gratitude towards my team, supporters, promoters, and sponsors.”
Promnick further stated that she is happy with the win, and keeping up her undefeated record and getting yet another stoppage was a huge plus for her. “I went in focused, locked in, and confident, and got the results. I am definitely proud of myself.”

The young boxer promises to keep her feet on the ground, to always remain humble, focusing on the sport, and constantly working harder than before. “I will continue pushing myself to new limits, reaching new heights and improving the talents that God has blessed me with.”

She admitted that, although she won the fight, there is still so much to improve on. “I do believe I executed the fight the way my coach wanted me to, but I will continue to work hard, improve, and be even better.”
